Hill and Bryant established a nifty two-man game against the Cavaliers -- eight of Bryant’s assists went to the LAkers big man.
Kobe’s previous career high was 15, set in 2002 against Michael Jordan and the Wizards on a night Shaquille O’Neal wasn’t in the lineup. On that night, Kobe also had 23 points and 11 rebounds for one of his 21 career triple-doubles.
For his reputation as a pure shooter, Kobe actually has passed the ball quite a bit in his career. He’s 30th on the all-time assist list with 6,103. He’s averaged 4.8 per game over the course of his 19 seasons, setting a career high by averaging 6.3 per game last year. He doesn’t pass as much as he shoots, because, well, he shoots a lot. But he does pass sometimes!
