No LeBron? No problem. Kyrie Irving stepped up with 55 points -- a career best, and the most points by any player this season -- and this game-winner right in Nicolas Batum’s face:

Kyrie Irving topped the best scoring night of his career with a cold-blooded game-winner to push the Cavs’ streak to eight games.
He didn’t think about passing, just stepped up and fired. After a missed Damian Lillard answer and some free throws, the Cavs won 99-94.
LeBron was pretty pumped:
Irving did the majority of his work behind the arc, going 11-for-19 for three. (The NBA record is 12.) His previous career high was 44 points, so he blew that away. The previous high in an NBA game this season was 52 (a tie between Klay Thompson and Mo Williams.)
LeBron James’ return from injury had appeared to be a turning point for the Cavs -- they’d lost five in a row before his return, one after he came back, and then won seven in a row -- so it seemed like with James out with a wrist injury, the Cavs’ win streak was over. But Irving obviously had other ideas, and the Cavs’ streak is now at eight games.
