Anthony Davis had to be helped off the court on Wednesday night after getting undercut against the Denver Nuggets in the third quarter. Davis headed to the locker room with an apparent groin injury but returned in the fourth quarter.

Davis will have an MRI on Thursday, according to the team.

Davis finished the night with 24 points and 12 rebounds on 8-of-15 shooting from the field in 37 minutes. Denver would win the game 93-85 behind a balanced scoring attack led by Arron Afflalo, who had 20 points.
Davis has had a tremendous year for New Orleans in his third season. He leads the league with an incredible PER of 31.91 while averaging 24.5 points, 10.4 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game. He’s slated to start the All-Star Game in February in New York. The Pelicans are in a fight with the Phoenix Suns and Oklahoma City Thunder for the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference.
