Tim Duncan sets NBA record for most wins with one team

The future Hall of Famer’s résumé keeps getting more impressive.

Add one more accomplishment to Tim Duncan's résumé. With the Spurs' 94-84 win over the Knicks Monday night in Madison Square Garden, Duncan's now holds the record for the most wins (954) by a single player with a single NBA team, per the Elias Sports Bureau.

Duncan, now 39, was drafted by the Spurs No. 1 overall in 1997. This is his 19th season in San Antonio, and he’s never played less than 66 games in a season, or won less than 50 games in a year (not including the lockout-shortened seasons of 1999 and 2012).

Duncan has led the Spurs to an NBA championship five times, and is a 15-time All Star and three-time MVP.

This is the second wins record that Duncan has been a part of this season. On Sunday, he, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili won their 541st game together, moving them past Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish and making them the all-time winningest trio in NBA history.
