Klay Thompson will start vs. the Bucks

Thompson is back in action after missing Friday’s game against the Celtics.

Klay Thompson will start for the Warriors in their Saturday matchup against the Bucks, the team announced.

Thompson suffered an ankle sprain in Golden State's win against the Pacers and missed Friday's game against the Celtics. The Warriors managed to escape Boston with a double overtime win but clearly missed their All-Star shooting guard. They were also missing small forward Harrison Barnes (still out), which left them extremely shorthanded at the wing. Thompson's return should take some of the scoring burden off Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

Despite a grueling game against the Celtics, coach Luke Walton announced no one will rest in the second game of the back-to-back. The Warriors are still perfect for the season after winning their first 24 games and with a victory in Milwaukee could become the first team in league history to sweep a road trip at least seven games long.

Thompson is averaging 18 points, three rebounds and two assists per game this season.
