First off, a quick introduction. If you don’t know what FanDuel is, well, you’re missing out. FanDuel is a site that offers daily fantasy sports games. Participants get a chance every day to select new players, fill out a lineup and, most importantly, win some cash. If you choose poorly Monday, you can come back Tuesday and try again. Easy as that. As for what we're doing in this space: The goal here will be to direct your attention toward some players who you might not otherwise consider. If you're here and reading this, then you already know that LeBron James is really good. But when filling out a roster you can't just pick out stars. You'll blow your cap and get stuck praying to the basketball gods that a guy like Kosta Koufos gets into the game. No, if you want to win, you have to take advantage of certain matchups -- and in order to do that you have to know where to look. That's what we're here for. Also, this space is going to be used to give you advice for the games on Tuesday, Dec 15. So, with that, let's get started.

3 players to target

James Harden, SG, Rockets ($10,700): The Beard is the highest-priced option for Tuesday, but for good reason. For one, Harden has been playing well of late, averaging 32 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals over his last three games. Also, he gets to take on an inept defensive unit, the Sacramento Kings, a team allowing opponents to score 108.2 points per game, the second-highest mark in the league.

Will Barton, SG, Nuggets ($6,000): The former Memphis Tigers' player has been one of the surprises of the year. Barton is averaging 19 points, seven rebounds and two assists over hist last five games. He's got a tough matchup on Tuesday against the Timberwolves, but for this price it's worth taking a shot.

Omri Casspi, SF, Kings ($4,700,): The best buy-low option for the evening. The Rockets, who Casspi faces Tuesday, are allowing opposing small forwards to put up 38.5 FanDuel points per night, the second highest mark in the league. Making this matchup even more enticing is how well Casspi has been playing of late. He's averaging 14 points, seven rebounds and two assists over his last three games.

3 players to avoid

DeMarcus Cousins, C, Kings ($9,800): Boogie is still struggling from the field. He's averaging just 19 points on 36 percent shooting over his last five games. The Rockets defense has also been better under interim head coach J.B. Bickerstaff. Look for them to key in on Cousins and make him work for every basket.

Isaiah Thomas, PG, Celtics ($8,100): The Cavaliers are big and like to play slow. That doesn't bode well for the explosive Thomas, who's also shooting just 38 percent over his last three games.

Kevin Love, PF, Cavaliers ($7,800): He's certainly been better this season, but the stats just aren't there. Part of that is because Love's playing time is down: he's seeing the floor for just 27 minutes a night over the last week. But Love has also been struggling from the field (31 percent shooting in his last three games). He's not worth the price on Tuesday.

Other Notables

You never know with the Lakers, especially with the way Byron Scott hands out playing time, but rookie D'Angelo Russell has been seeing 35 minutes a night over his last three games and is averaging nearly 20 points over that stretch. ... Speaking of the Lakers, they face the Bucks on Tuesday. Look for the crafty Greg Monroe to have his way in the paint against L.A.s weak front line. ... Kevin Martin is red hot. He's averaging 26 points and shooting 45 percent over his last three games.
