Tyreke Evans’ coach drew up a game-winning play and Evans forgot about it 10 seconds later
That was just one of two huge plays Evans messed up for the Pelicans.

There was only one little problem: Tyreke Evans forgot the play coach Alvin Gentry had told him to run 10 seconds earlier during the timeout.
As ESPN commentator Kara Lawson explained, Evans brought the ball to the wrong side of the court. The Pelicans were setting up a double screen for Eric Gordon on the left side, so Evans should have been on the right. Instead, he dribbled the ball right into Gordon’s path.
Somehow, this wasn't Evans' only laughable mental mistake in crunch time. After another timeout, Tyreke got the play right, but Anthony Davis missed the potential game-winner, so the game went to overtime. A few minutes later, he forgot what he was supposed to do again on a big possession.
He had no idea if he’s supposed to screen or not and is looking for anyone to tell him what to do. Since no one does, he just decides to chill next to another Pelicans player.
Those sequences punctuated a 2-of-9, six-point, five-turnover afternoon for Evans. He looked off the whole game and his explanation for why now makes a lot of sense.
Tyreke Evans says he was sick during the game. Threw up at one point. Asked out of the game once b/c he was having a hard time breathing.
