D'Angelo Russell got benched by the Lakers on Monday for reasons that the rookie point guard couldn't quite wrap his head around. On Wednesday, Russell found himself on the floor with LA trailing by two to Minnesota late in the fourth quarter and made his best case for getting as many minutes as possible:

After this, you have to imagine Russell will be in the crunch-time lineups a bit more going forward. It also made Kobe Bryant very happy:
