George Karl is still interested in returning to the NBA as a head coach and might have his eyes on the recently opened Orlando Magic job, per a tweet he sent out on Friday.

Karl coached the Denver Nuggets for nine seasons and finished with a top-two finish in the division every year until he was fired in the summer of 2013, despite being awarded Coach of the Year by the NBA that same season. Karl is one of eight NBA coaches with 1,000 career wins after starting as a head coach in 1984. He was also rumored to be a candidate for the Sacramento Kings' job after Michael Malone was fired in December.

The Magic fired Jacque Vaughn on Thursday after Orlando struggled with inconsistent performances this season. The team has plenty of young talent and could be a good fit, but Karl's comments are strange considering there has been no official link between the two parties.
