Anthony Davis says Warriors thought game would be a ‘scrimmage’
The Pelicans star made an interesting comment after his team’s big win.
Following the New Orleans Pelicans 103-100 win over the Golden State Warriors, Anthony Davis claimed that he'd heard the Warriors saying that the game would be like playing a "scrimmage".
There’s two ways to look at this.
1. The Warriors players were actually implying that the game against the Pelicans would be like a scrimmage for them. One fan claimed that’s exactly what Golden State did via this tweet right before the game started:
Fyi, my ball boy contact told me that many Warrior players are calling tonight's game a scrimmage.
— Trew 2 The Game (@Trew2TheGame) April 8, 2015 2. The Pelicans expected Golden State to rest players and not take the game too seriously since the Western Conference’s top team really had nothing to play for tonight.
