The Washington Wizards and Atlanta Hawks look to follow up their exciting matchup from the weekend as they meet for Game 4 on Monday night. Paul Pierce hit a fading buzzer-beater in Game 3 to give the Wizards a 2-1 series lead, and now the team will try to continue its run without point guard John Wall.

The Hawks look to tie up the series in D.C. on Monday night.
Washington is going to miss Wall badly for the rest of the playoffs, but the team weathered his absence in Game 3 behind Bradley Beal, Otto Porter and Nene, who each scored 17 points in the win. Pierce only had 13 points, but scored the biggest two in draining a last-second bucket to clinch the win.
Now the Wizards have a chance to go up 3-1 at home, and the Hawks are still waiting to regain the glory that powered them to 60 wins in the regular season. Atlanta fell behind big in Game 3 before the backups led the team on a fourth-quarter rally, and point guard Jeff Teague didn't do much to take advantage of a Wall-less lineup.
Teague's backup, rookie Dennis Schroder, actually played better Saturday, recording 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting and five assists in 20 minutes. After helping get Atlanta back into the game with his fellow reserves, Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer opted to stick with those guys in crunch time of the Game 3 loss.
How the Hawks adjust from here will be interesting, particularly given how much better the backups looked at times over the weekend. If the Wizards’ starters can outplay the Hawks’ even with Wall sidelined, it’s going to be tough for Atlanta to get back in this series.
