Hawks vs. Wizards 2015: Time, TV schedule and live stream for NBA playoffs

The Hawks can finish off the Wizards in Game 6 after Al Horford’s game-winning layup in Game 5 put them up 3-2.

Game 5 in this series could have gone either way. The Wizards almost survived on the strength of Paul Pierce's triple, before the Hawks just barely skated in and stole the victory on Al Horford's putback layup with the seconds ticking down. The 82-81 win for Atlanta puts it up 3-2, and Washington now has to fight to avoid elimination.

The Wizards are at home, which helps, and have John Wall back in the picture. Despite five fractures in his hand and wrist, Wall returned in Game 5 and was generally effective, playing 37 minutes and scoring 15 points on 7-of-16 shooting. He had seven assists but also six turnovers. Still, Washington needs whatever version of Wall is available because his dynamic game is crucial to its offensive success.

Horford’s game-winner was appropriate because he carried the Hawks for much of the night. He scored 23 points on 10-of-18 shooting and added 11 rebounds and five blocks. He’s been great all series, averaging 18 points on 48 percent shooting and 10 rebounds against the Wizards. Considering the Hawks shot 41 percent and only hit five of their 22 three-point attempts, his offense was a much-needed boost.
