Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley is drawing plenty of interest at the onset of NBA free agency. The New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks have each made calls on the 26-year-old lead guard, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.
Cavaliers, Knicks, Mavericks interested in Patrick Beverley, per report
The rugged point guard is a popular man at the start of free agency.

Beverley had season-ending wrist surgery in March. The Rockets would reach the Western Conference Finals without him, but his defense and shooting were missed throughout the postseason. He finished the season averaging 10.1 points and 3.4 assists per game on 35.6 percent shooting from three-point range in 56 games.
Beverley is also considered a rugged and physical defender. Just ask Russell Westbrook, who Beverley injured during the 2013 playoffs while diving for a steal.
Beverley has quite the back story. He left Arkansas during his sophomore season because of a school work scandal, then played in Ukraine instead of entering the 2008 draft. He was eventually taken in the second round of the 2009 draft, but went on to play in Greece. He also played in Russia before landing with the Rockets in 2013.
