The Los Angeles Clippers are still reeling from the loss of DeAndre Jordan in free agency, but the team has no choice but to move on. That process will continue in free agency, as the Clippers try to fill out the rest of their roster with limited salary cap space. The team has its sights set on Rockets forward Josh Smith, according to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.

Smith was still owed $26 million by the Detroit Pistons when they released him in December. That allowed Smith to become a free agent and latch on with Houston, where he contributed some good games in the playoffs as the Rockets made it to the Western Conference finals. The guaranteed money from Detroit could put Smith in the Clippers’ price range.

Smith, who turns 30 in December, averaged 12.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game last year between his time with the Rockets and Pistons last year. The Clippers have already had a busy offseason, adding Paul Pierce and trading for Lance Stephenson before losing Jordan to the Mavericks.
