Matt Barnes fined for calling Derek Fisher a ‘snitch,’ defending himself for punching Knicks coach
The Matt Barnes-Derek Fisher feud isn’t over.

With the Grizzlies set to take on the Knicks on Saturday night, Barnes will be in the same building as New York coach Derek Fisher for the first time since the two got into a fight in October, over Fisher’s relationship with Barnes’ estranged wife. Barnes promised there wouldn’t be another incident, but acknowledged animosity between he and Fisher still exists:
More Barnes: "Every man who looks at the situation knows what’s right and wrong. Violence is never the answer, but sometimes it is."

— Scott Cacciola (@ScottCacciola) January 16, 2016 Barnes was suspended for two games and fined by the league for reportedly driving to the home of his estranged wife, Gloria Govan, confronting Fisher and punching him in the face.
Barnes repeatedly called Fisher a “snitch” for the incident becoming public knowledge. “I don’t talk to snakes,” Barnes told the New York Daily News.
Barnes also claims he’s received support from around the league after the incident -- including from unidentified players on the Knicks.
The NBA said security is aware of the incident and will be on alert on Saturday.
