Two double technicals were assessed after a fourth-quarter scuffle between the Wizards and the Magic. But Bradley Beal got off extremely easy, considering he reached over and choked Evan Fournier during the encounter, hard enough that he left a handprint on his neck.

The only thing called by referees was a double-technical on Beal and Fournier both.

Fournier shoves his hand off, both teams push and yell some more, and technicals end up being assessed to Beal, Fournier, Bismack Biyombo and Kelly Oubre Jr. Here’s a longer video of the encounter.

You can see the red mark from Beal’s hand on Fournier’s neck.
Here’s a bigger image.
I hardly have to say it, but this clearly isn’t acceptable in any form. Beal should have at least received a flagrant foul in some manner, rather than the double technical that essentially washed the play away.
The Wizards ended up winning, 94-91. Beal scored 14 but was scoreless after being assessed that technical.
