Kemba Walker is ‘Walker, Charlotte Ranger’ in a new Hornets All-Star promo
But Frank Kaminsky is the real star here.
Kemba Walker’s name is begging for puns, so jumping on Walker, Texas Ranger made sense. It couldn’t be Texas, though, so it’s Charlotte Ranger now. This is all good and nice, until you realize Frank Kaminsky might literally be a character on the TV show.
I can imagine the conversation right now.
HORNETS TEAM EMPLOYEE: OK, Kemba, so we’ve got a cowboy hat for you, and can you put on this button down to go under the jacket?
KEMBA WALKER: You got it.
HORNETS TEAM EMPLOYEE: Great! And Frank, we’re going to get you a shirt and a bolo tie an—
FRANK KAMINSKY: [laughs knowingly] No worries, guys, I’ve got it taken care of. Just grabbed a few things from my closet on the way to work.
[FRANK DROPS AN OVERSTUFFED DUFFEL BAG ONTO THE TABLE WITH WESTERN WEAR SPILLING OUT.]

The Hornets are supporting Kemba’s All-Star campaign, which he has a really good case for this season!
All-Star voting began on Christmas Day and will go into January.
