NBA says Kevin Durant was fouled on final possession against the Cavaliers

Kevin Durant stumbled on the final play and was unable to get a shot off.

Cavaliers versus Warriors on Christmas Day was easily the best game of the 2016 season so far. The Cavaliers came away with a win over Warriors, 109-108, as Kyrie Irving hit a turnaround jumper with only a few seconds remaining. In the final 3.1 seconds, the Warriors had chance to steal the game, except Kevin Durant stumbled and was unable to get a shot off.

On Monday, the league-released report stated that Jefferson made foot-to-foot contact with Kevin Durant on the play, which was a no-call at the time. The league admits there should have in fact been a foul called.

After the game Kevin Durant told reporters, “I was trying to make a move, and I fell and I didn’t fall on my own.”
