Uh oh, Cavaliers

Good morning. We have that and more in Tuesday’s NBA newsletter.

Good morning. Let’s basketball.

THE NORTH REMEMBERS: So much for the Cavaliers marching unimpeded to the NBA Finals. Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan went big at home as Toronto won 105-99 to tie the series 2-2. Kevin Love had another bad night, and Cleveland shot just 31 percent from long-range. Those shots falling in Games 1 and 2 didn’t fall in Games 3 and 4.

Here’s Woj on Lowry pulling the Raptors back from the brink.

AS I SAID: Bismack Biyombo really ruined Kevin Love’s night with a flawless block at the rim. Who does K-Love think he is?!?!

BOO: On a desperate Kyrie Irving three attempt with just seconds left, Dwane Casey steps well onto the court, right behind the shooter, and makes noise. Not cool at all.

NOTED INSTAGRAM TROLL GLOATS: Drake was back on Instagram spreading reverie and memes after the win.

ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR: No suspension for Draymond Green, though his foot uppercut (upperkick?) on Steven Adams’ groinal region did earn a post-dated Flagrant-2 and a $25,000 fine. Green’s playoffs flagrant counter is now full. One more flagrant foul and he earns an automatic one-game suspension. Before the un-suspension was announced, I wrote about the incident as a perfect NBA Rorschach test and how it put everyone -- including the league -- in a tough position. Somehow, Russell Westbrook got roped into the fuller debate.

SCARY: How the Thunder’s athleticism is spooking the Warriors.

AND 1: Bethlehem Shoals on the Warriors -- not the Thunder -- looking mighty mortal.

IT’S TRUE! Steph Curry would have had trouble in the ‘90s NBA.

#GENEROUS: LeBron offered to pay for Dahntay Jones’ suspension-related paycheck penalty. That amount comes up to $80.

MICHELE ROBERTS ALERT: The Undefeated has a video interview with the players’ union boss.

DOPE: Andrew McNeill is leading a Kickstarter for a new quarterly print magazine called Game Point. Looks like an excellent use of some discretionary cash!

Happy Tuesday. See you next time.
