E’Twaun Moore agrees to 4-year, $34 million deal with the Pelicans, per report
Moore has worked hard to prove himself as an NBA player and it has paid off.
Moore is a scrappy 6’4 guard who has carved out a role for himself as a bench player throughout his five-year career. Moore spent his last two seasons with Chicago, averaging only nine minutes per game his first year there but putting together his best all-around season last year. Moore averaged nearly eight points in 21 minutes per game on 48 percent shooting from the field and 45 percent from behind the arc.
For the Pelicans, Moore's signing is right in line with their other acquisition earlier in the day. New Orleans picked up Solomon Hill on a four-year, $48 million deal, a player with lots of upside who didn't play a big role before. Moore is another lesser-known name who was acquired relatively cheaply, and although at 27 years old the Pelicans may not see much more potential from the versatile guard, he definitely fits the group of smart, affordable fits the team has put together.
