Andre Iguodala says Thunder, not Cavs, were best team in the playoffs

“Now that we got KD I can say it: (the Thunder) were the best team in the playoffs.”

Warriors guard Andre Iguodala joined the The Breakfast Club on Thursday to talk about losing the NBA Finals and signing Kevin Durant.

Iguodala credited LeBron James (“one of the top five players of all time”) and Kyrie Irving (“Kyrie was a monster”) for Cleveland’s incredible 3-1 comeback in the Finals, but made it point to say the Cavs weren’t the best team Golden State faced in the playoffs. That would be the Oklahoma City Thunder, who surged ahead 3-1 in the Western Conference Finals before the Warriors pulled off their own stunning comeback.

“Now that we got KD I can say it: (the Thunder) were the best team in the playoffs. They were better than us, they were better than Cleveland. They should have won a championship. They played us better than anyone. They had our number”

So not only did the Warriors sign one of the best players alive in Durant, they also knocked out their biggest competition, according to Iguodala. You can listen to the full interview here. Please note that he hates being called “Iggy.”
