Everything has turned out the right way for the Golden State Warriors since blowing a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals. The Kevin Durant signing was the obvious "win" of course, but on Thursday, summer league star Patrick McCaw went off against Toronto.
NBA Summer League 2016 scores: Patrick McCaw is a real player for the Warriors
Golden State keeps winning with their second-round pick killing it in summer league.

The Warriors lost the game to the Raptors, the No. 1 seed in the Las Vegas Summer League playoffs. But McCaw continues to show that he could actually play a role for the Warriors next season, dropping 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting with five threes.
McCaw was the 38th overall pick by the Warriors in the 2016 NBA Draft, with a good number of analysts saying it was a steal that he fell to Golden State. "People are gonna be sorry they didn't draft him," Warriors executive board member Jerry West said shortly after the draft.
Certainly, West seems prophetic through summer league at least. McCaw has averaged almost 16 points per game on 47 percent shooting from the field, leading the team in scoring in nearly every game. Although the Warriors have only one more game, a consolation one on Friday, McCaw has looked like the type of player who could really play a role for the Warriors next year.
3 things from Thursday
Norman Powell is OK
In the same game against the Warriors, Powell had a scare when he limped off the court with help. The very last thing you could wish for during summer league is an injury to any player, especially an NBA rotation player like Powell. Fortunately, the injury was a thigh bruise. He returned to the game and led the Summer Raptors in scoring.
Powell has averaged nearly 21 points in his four games. He has dominated, just like he should. He was up-and-down in the playoffs, but he’s a real player in the NBA and the Raptors should have huge expectations for him next year.
Tyler Ulis went off
Devin Booker, the best player in summer league, has sat after dominating two games. (Shout out to Trey Lyles, who has also been great.) Without him, Tyler Ulis took over for the Suns, dropping 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting with eight assists. The inspiration for his performance came from his Suns head coach, Earl Watson.
“You need to be more aggressive,” Ulis was told by Watson. “I want you to play your game. Don’t come out here and play any different. Play like you did at Kentucky. We need you to score.”
Timberwolves win without Dunn
Minnesota has been winning without Kris Dunn, who suffered a concussion in his first game. They've won the opening first round of the Summer League playoffs without him, relying on Tyus Jones' 26 points with four rebounds and 10 assists. The Duke point guard has always been knocked for being small, but Jones is a smart player who just knows where to be to make plays in the NBA.
Play of the night
Damn, Prince. (This was better than the Prince impersonator between the Mavs-Bulls game. Hi, yeah, I’m in Vegas and had to suffer through it.)
Scores
Timberwolves 89, Grizzlies 85
Suns 77, Heat 74
Raptors 75, Warriors 69
