USA vs. Argentina 2016 final score: Kevin Durant leads USA in a blowout victory

Team USA played its first tune-up game ahead of the Rio Olympics, and if it was any indication then the United States is going to be as dominant as ever. The U.S. was never challenged by Argentina en route to a 111-74 victory.

New Golden State Warrior Kevin Durant led the way for the Americans with 23 points. He was one of four players in double-figures for the United States, including Paul George who scored 18 points off the bench. It was George’s first game appearance for Team USA since suffering a gruesome leg injury when he crashed into the stanchion during an exhibition game in 2014.

Even without a number of top players on the roster, the United States showed off its length and floor-spacing ability. Team USA is loaded with shooters, and great ball movement against Argentina led to a lot of good shots. Durant and others took advantage.

Argentina has a talented roster, including several players with NBA experience led by Manu Ginobili. It still proved to be no match for the United States. The U.S. ran out to a big lead early, blowing open the game with a 32-14 lead after the first quarter. They never looked back from there and cruised to an easy victory.

Team USA will be back on the floor on Sunday for an exhibition game against China.
