Add Steve Kerr to the list of NBA head coaches to take a jab at newly inaugurated president Donald Trump.
Steve Kerr made fun of Donald Trump’s press secretary after the Warriors beat the Magic
“14,000 points, greatest player in Magic history.”

After Golden State’s 118-98 win in Orlando on Sunday, a reporter asked the Warriors’ coach about being addressed as “former Orlando Magic great” by the Magic public announcer.
Kerr scored 34 points through 47 games with Orlando in the 1992-93 season and joked about being tabbed a franchise great.
He was then asked whether the response was his version of “alternative facts” -- alluding to Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway’s take on the turnout for his Inauguration speech. Trump press secretary Sean Spicer called the crowd the “largest audience to ever witness an inauguration,” but the numbers said otherwise.
“Yes, Sean Spicer will be talking about my Magic career any second now,” Kerr said. “14,000 points, greatest player in Magic history.”
Kerr’s jab came a day after San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich took to the media to blast Trump’s Inauguration. Popovich, Kerr, and Detroit Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy are among the NBA coaches that have been outspoken against the Trump administration.
