NBA Scores 2017: Kyrie Irving is a basketball wizard and 7 other things from Thursday night’s games

Boogie’s revenge, Blake’s game-winner and everything else from Thursday.

The Bucks and Celtics played on an old fashioned-looking floor to bring back the Bucks-Celtics rivalry of old on “The MECCA” court. It looked really cool, but before the game Kyrie Irving did a very Kyrie Irving thing and voiced his concerns about playing on such an old court. Nobody really gets what he was talking about. The court was brand new of course, just like every court he’d ever played on before, and it clearly didn’t bother him since he was absolutely slimy in the team’s 96-89 win over the Bucks.

How the heck does he do this crap?

No matter who or how many the Bucks threw at him, Irving found ways to score and create plays like the superstar he is. He finished with 24 points on 10-of-18 shooting and seven rebounds. Al Horford was his brilliant accomplice with 27 points on 11-of-14 shooting and nine rebounds.

The rookie and sophomore forward combo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown was enough to hold Giannis Antetokounmpo to a season low in scoring. Of course he still had 28 points on 10-of-21 shooting, but hey, it was enough for a comfortable win.

BLAKE AT THE BUZZER!

Down two points with mere seconds to go, of course it was Blake Griffin who beat the Trail Blazers on this buzzer-beating three-point shot:

This finish was dramatic as hell, featuring a VERY dislocated Austin Rivers pinkie and a late-game missed free throw from C.J. McCollum.

Somehow, without Chris Paul or his replacement, Milos Teodosic, the Clippers are still undefeated!

The Bulls won a game lol

It happened, and it took only four games, but the Bulls beat the Hawks, 91-86, behind Robin Lopez’s 16 points and nine rebounds. This game was totally brutal. Both teams shot under 40 percent from the field. The Bulls made 7-of-32 (SEVEN OUT OF THE THIRTY-TWO!) shots from three. Ew.

But they’re officially on the board... which means one thing...

The Knicks are the only team in the NBA without a win:

Losing for Luka?

The Kings had a warm welcome for DeMarcus Cousins. Then he destroyed them.

Without Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins had all the room to shine against his former team. There’s no doubt that Boogie wanted to ball out against his ex-team, and he absolutely did with 41 points, 23 rebounds, and six assists in a comeback win in which he did literally everything. The Pelicans won because of it, 114-106.

Cousins was sinking shots from deep, cleaning up his own misses, and was the all-around best player on the court.

The Kings held a nice little introduction for their former star before the game started, which prompted a mix of cheers and boos from the Sacramento crowd in Boogie’s first return home.

I bet they really missed him after this one.

The Kings showed off their new young talent too, though. De’Aaron Fox had another great performance off the bench with 14 points and five assists, and Skal Labissiere had 11 points as well.

But this was Boogie’s night.

Here’s a video of Garrett Temple’s perfect assist to a ghost:

Yeah, the Kings started their collapse around this time.

Giannis tried to destroy Aron Baynes again:

Just get out of the way, Aron.

Please watch Gordon Hayward’s daughter put stickers on his cast:

Awwww.
