Thunder-Rockets series
The first two games of the series belonged to James Harden and the Houston Rockets but Russell Westbrook finally got his when the Thunder returned to Oklahoma City for Game 3. Despite Westbrook’s historic 51-point triple-double in Game 2, the Thunder still came up short. Game 3 was a different story.
The Thunder led for almost all of Game 3 but Houston hung around all night giving us a shootout between Russell Westbrook and James Harden in the end. In a game that was led by its stars, it was Steven Adams who came through with the go ahead basket to give the Thunder the win. Unlike Game 2, the players surrounding Russell Westbrook gave him the boost they needed. They’ll need a lot more of that in Game 4.
