Rockets owner fined $100k for one-on-one chat with referee during game

Live action on the court was happening when he spoke to the referee.

Rockets owner Les Alexander has been fined $100,000 by the NBA for walking onto the court during the middle of the Rockets Game 5 matchup with the Thunder, according to ESPN’s Marc Spears.

The fine is referring to this moment in Game 5 where Les Alexander walked out on the floor while the clock was running and spoke to the referee.

Les Alexander has been the Rockets owner since 1983, so I’m sure he has a lot of strong feelings about his team. But you can’t be walking down to the court like that.
