Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are talking again, Kendrick Perkins nonchalantly revealed

The 2008 Celtics got together (minus Ray Allen) in Area 21 for Game 4 of Warriors-Jazz. It was actually a really interesting bit, with the team being candid about what it was like being on that team and even what if felt like when it all ended.

But quietly during all of that, Kendrick Perkins dropped that Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are on speaking terms again. He even said he wouldn’t be surprised if Durant returned to Oklahoma City!

Perkins said he we was trying to figure out a way to get Westbrook and Durant to speak again because he felt the media was blowing their feud out of proportion. Kendrick said that after Westbrook broke the triple-double record, Durant texted him saying he and Westbrook had a nice conversation.

It’s funny that Perkins is the one revealing all of this info since he was the inspiration behind Westbrook’s cupcake Instagram that was directed at Kevin Durant.

It’s also hard to imagine Durant returning to Oklahoma City, but hey crazier things have happened. LeBron James went home to Cleveland to win the team’s first-ever NBA Championship while coming back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals against the league’s best regular season team of all time and first ever unanimous MVP.
