Andre Iguodala had to dunk SO HARD to make sure LeBron James didn’t embarrass him

Iguodala wasn’t going to let himself become a meme.

Andre Iguodala had to dunk so ridiculously hard to make sure LeBron James didn’t block his shot in the first half of Game 5 of the NBA Finals. It was deja vu all over again for Iguodala, who infamously had James toss his shot in the 2016 Finals, and he wasn’t about to let 2017 meme him to oblivion.

James decided not to even challenge the shot. He was steps to the side and wasn’t going to catch up to the Warriors forward in time to move him from his dunking form. But Iguodala wasn’t taking any chances. AT ALL.

The first half of the Cavs-Warriors Game 5 has been fast-paced back-and-forth with everyone dunking on everyone. LeBron threw one down on Kevin Durant HARD earlier. It’s clear neither of these teams have all that much respect for each other.

This has been a hard-fought trilogy after all. Iguodala wants to make sure he’s on the right side of it this time.
