The Golden State Warriors are having their NBA championship parade on Thursday afternoon in Oakland. Draymond Green, as well as the rest of the team, is on-hand for the festivities, and Green is wearing a shirt that poked some fun at Cleveland’s arena, which is owned by Quicken Loans. The shirt had to recognizable “Q” logo on it, to spell out “Quickie” with a photo of the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
Draymond Green’s shirt is the pettiest part of the Warriors parade
Well done, Draymond.
Here’s a look at the Quicken Loans arena logo, for some reference. You have to say that the Q on Green’s shirt is pretty spot on.
Later during the parade, Green was asked in an interview about how the idea of the shirt came about.
“Well the Q, that’s what those guys arena is called, and we got them out of here quick, with the trophy, quickie.”
Green added that the idea was his own.
Shoutout to Green for the cleverness of this shirt, as well as the creativity. Green admitted he was inspired by LeBron James’ “Ultimate Warrior” shirt last year.
“I can’t forget the Ultimate Warrior shirt last year from LeBron,” Green said. “And you know the 3-1 tombstone cookies and all of that so, you know I was waiting on this moment.”
LeBron even played along, posting a picture of the shirt on Instagram with a hilarious “That’s what she said” caption.
Follow along with all of the Warriors parade action all day long.
