Kevin Durant wanted absolutely no part of this LeBron James dunk
Wise decision, KD.
This video is of LeBron James getting a full head of steam and throwing down a dunk in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The ostensible victim of the dunk is Warriors center JaVale McGee, because McGee was the only Warrior willing to risk his dignity by trying to get in James’ way. It was a valiant if entirely misguided effort on McGee’s part.
One person who did not want to mess with LeBron on this play: Kevin Durant. The Warriors’ star forward was about as interested in getting in LeBron’s path as I would be interested in wrestling a polar bear. Look at Durant exiting the premises:
The overhead view of the basket does not even show Durant’s head. That’s not because Durant isn’t tall enough. I choose to believe it’s because Durant knew he’d be put on a poster and decided that absolutely none of that was worth it.
I can’t even disagree with him.
