Kings center Georgios Papagiannis leaves Summer League game with apparent leg injury
Papagiannis was unable to put weight on his leg exiting the court.
Papagiannis soared for a defensive rebound in the third quarter but unexpectedly landed hard on his left side. He writhed in pain for what seemed like an eternity and was unable to put any weight on his left foot. Papagiannis was helped to his feet and carried to the exit by his teammates, where he later exited the building in a wheelchair.
The 20-year-old Greek big man averaged 5.6 points and four rebounds in 22 games as a rookie for Sacramento last season. He was drafted 13th overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2016 NBA and was subsequently traded to the Kings in the deal involving Marquese Chriss.
