NBA 2k18 revealed its ratings for the first two picks in the draft, Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball, on Twitter Tuesday night. They will both start the game ranked 80 overall. That’s pretty good!
‘NBA 2K’ reveals Lonzo Ball’s and Markelle Fultz’s player ratings
Hmm.

(Also peep the new Sixers jersey that Fultz is shown wearing.)
An 80 overall ranking is a pretty high rating for a rookie in 2K. Last season, the top two picks overall, Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram, were ranked 79 and 78 overall respectively. This rookie class is coming in with quite possibly twice the hype, though. Everyone will be itching to test the pair of elite athletes right away, especially Fultz, whose team may be a competitive one to play with for the first time in a while.
The video game updates throughout the season, so Fultz’s and Ball’s ratings will change. But from the very beginning, they should be fun to use when the game comes out in September.
2K just recently began to release players’ ratings on Twitter, and on Tuesday announced Kevin Durant would be a 96 overall, Steph Curry a 94, Dwight Howard an 81 and Nick Young a 74.
Two weeks ago, it was announced that cover athlete in America, Kyrie Irving, would be a 90 overall, cover of the Canadian edition, DeMar DeRozan, an 89, Karl-Anthony Towns 90, Joel Embiid 86 and Devin Booker also 86.
We’re still waiting to see who will be the game’s highest-rated player.
