The eighth and final week of the BIG3 league is officially over, and the postseason is about to begin. Over the past eight weeks, fans had the opportunity to watch yesterday’s NBA stars take the hardwood and compete in three-on-three matchups.

Week 8 is officially over, and the playoffs are right around the corner.


Just like in weeks past, you will enjoy Week 8’s slew of games, which will air at 8 p.m. ET on FS1 on Monday. Fans can stream the games online by using the Fox Sports Go app. These four games already took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Aug. 13, so stop reading now if you don’t want to be spoiled.

Week 8 results
The Ghost Ballers (4-4) defeated the 3 Headed Monsters (6-2), 50-33. Mike Bibby and Ricky Davis poured in 13 points a piece to help the Ghost Ballers cruise to victory. Ivan Johnson and Marcus Banks also combined for 22 points. The Ghost Ballers shot well over 50 percent from the field and connected on 50 percent of three-point attempts.
Rashard Lewis scored a game-high 18 points, but he was the only player on the 3 Headed Monsters to rack up more than 10 points. They shot 50 percent from the field but only knocked down 25 percent of their three-point shots.
In Game 2, Mike James amassed a team-high 17 points to help Tri-State (3-5) defeat Power (4-4), 51-42. Lee Nailon chipped in with 13 points, and Dominic McGuire added an extra 10. Power’s DeShawn Stevenson collected 22 points, but the rest of his teammates combined for 20 points. Neither team shot well from the field, as both squads shot under 50 percent.
The Ball Hogs (2-6) and 3’s Company (3-5) battled each other hard in Game 3, but the Ball Hogs won the game 50-47. Xavier Silas scored scored 20 points, while connecting on seven of his 17 shots from the field. Josh Childress added an extra 16 points to help the Ball Hogs win. The Ball Hogs shot 50 percent from the field and over 40 percent from beyond the arch.
3’s Company’s Andre Owens poured in 19 points but only converted on six of his 18 shot attempts. As a team, 3’s company struggled with connecting on shots, making only 44.4 percent of their attempts from the field.
Lastly, Trilogy (8-0) remained undefeated after knocking off the Killer 3s (2-6), 50-41. Rashad McCants registered 17 points, and Al Harrington shouldered some of the scoring load by chipping in an extra 16 points. Trilogy shot under 50 percent from the field in this game. The Killer 3s, on the other hand, received 17 points from Brian Cook and an extra 16 from Stephen Jackson. However, no one else scored more than 10 points, and the team as a whole only shot 40 percent from the field.
BIG3 Playoffs
Trilogy, 3 Headed Monsters, Ghost Ballers, and Power will advance to the first-round playoffs, which will take place at the Key Arena in Seattle on Sunday, Aug. 20. The championship game will be at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, Aug. 26.
