Paul George will miss six to eight weeks with a left knee scope, according to The Vertical’s Shams Charania, a procedure that he also hinted at with an Instagram post on Wednesday. The all-star forward is one of the most interesting players in this coming free agency class, but his recovery from a relatively straight forward operation should have him back on the court by the time July begins.
Paul George, soon-to-be free agent, will miss 6 to 8 weeks with a knee scope
This is a minor procedure that should not affect any decision he makes this summer.

George missed two games with a sore left knee in December, although he ended up missing only one other game for the Oklahoma City Thunder this year. George infamously fractured his leg during a Team USA scrimmage, but this injury should have nothing to do with that, a clean break that has since healed completely.
Frequently, knee scopes are saved until the offseason, when doctors will remove loose bone fragments or trim injured tendons, generally cleaning up the knee to prevent further problems. Certainly, George didn’t appear concerned about the procedure before it happened.
A return to the Thunder or a move to the Los Angeles Lakers have appeared to be the most likely outcomes for the 28-year-old two-way star in free agency this year, but other teams could enter the picture.
