DeAndre Jordan opted out of his contract with the Clippers on Friday, and that didn’t really tell us all that much about his free agency intentions. He likely opted out because he wanted a longer contract or more money or both! But just because he opted out of that contract with the Clippers didn’t mean he couldn’t sign a different one at 12:01 a.m. ET.
The Clippers tweeted an awkward ‘thank you’ to DeAndre Jordan before he officially left
I guess Lob City is over?

Yet the team sent a thank you tweet from its account late Friday night as if they’ve already given up on keeping him.
The Mavericks are reportedly the favorites to sign him, and the Warriors are somehow a dark horse to lure him in, but L.A. what are you doing?
The team just traded Austin Rivers for another center, Marcin Gortat, in preparation for Jordan potentially leaving, but still.
Fans were just as confused
So? Goodbye Lob City, I guess. I mean the Clippers already said their goodbyes so it seems to be time.
Thank you, Clippers DeAndre Jordan.
