The NBA has informed Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith that he will be fined for every game he doesn’t cover his Supreme logo tattoo, he said on Instagram. Supreme is a clothing company, which Smith told Complex didn’t compensate him for the artwork on his right calf.

Smith will reportedly talk to the league about it.

I swear I’m the only person they do sh— like this to! So you mean to tell me i have to cover up my tattoo for what? You don’t make people cover up Jordan logos NIKE checks or anything else but because it’s me it’s a problem all of a sudden!!! Sh— whack
“NBA rules prohibit players from displaying any commercial logos or corporate insignia on their body or in their hair,” an NBA spokesperson told the Athletic’s Shams Charania. In 2013, the league had Iman Shumpert shave the Adidas logo he had cut in his hair.

According to Charania, Smith is prepared to discuss the issue with the league. The NBA season starts on October 16.
