Tyrese Haliburton injury updates: Pacers star suffers torn Achilles in Game 7

Tyrese Haliburton went down with a terrifying leg injury in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

Tyrese Haliburton has been playing through a calf strain to close the 2025 NBA Finals. Haliburton was a game-time decision for Game 6, but ended up playing in a game the Pacers won in a rout to keep their season alive.

Update (Monday): According to ESPN NBA Insider Shams Charania, Haliburton suffered a torn right Achilles in Game 7:

Previously: Haliburton was on fire to start Game 7 on Sunday night with three three-pointers in the first quarter. Before the end of the quarter, the Pacers star collapsed on the floor diving for a loose ball. Haliburton was screaming in pain on the floor and seemed to know something bad happened. He was taken out of the game, and there’s no still no update on his status.

Haliburton has been ruled out by the Pacers for the rest of the game, according to the ABC broadcast. Haliburton’s father confirmed his son suffered an Achilles injury, but there’s no confirmation it’s a tear. Watch the play here:

Halibuton strained his calf in Game 5. The injury was described as a possible multi-week absence if it were in the regular season, but Haliburton was in the lineup and outstanding in the Game 6 win.

Trainers carried Haliburton to the locker room.

Pacers teammates surrounded Haliburton on the floor.

This injury immediately mars Game 7 in the worst way possible.
