Report: Lacedarius Dunn Charged With Felony Aggravated Assault

According to CBS Sports, Lacedarius Dunn has been charged with aggravated assault against his girlfriend. The charge is a felony in Texas, and would likely result in his expulsion from Baylor if proven true.

Elsewhere, according to the Sporting News, the news gets worse. Mike Decourcy reports that Waco police are saying that Dunn punched his girlfriend in the face, breaking her jaw. That’s second-degree assault in Texas, and also just completely indefensible if true.

For now, it’s too early to jump to conclusions, but the news does not look good for Dunn. And at a school with an ugly history of off-court trouble (think Patrick Dennehy), you’d have to think the leash will be short.
