VIDEO: Kyle Singler ‘Gets Buckets’ For Duke, The Rest Of America Groans

In fairness, this viral video from Duke's Kyle Singler is pretty great. Maybe not Mark Titus-level great, but still pretty solid. The shot from the rafters was a particularly nice touch:

↵

↵But then I’m all like, “Wait, he’s Kyle Singler, and he goes to Duke, so none of this is cool.”

↵See, maybe you can divorce yourself from the biases that influence these things, but I still think Kyle Singler looks like a wayward 12 year-old in desperate need of braces and a tanning booth. Maybe this would be okay if he went to Gonzaga, but he goes to Duke, and as such, he’s projected as a lottery pick in 2011 (to Indiana, natch). Like most grave injustices against reason, it’s hilarious at first, but mostly just sad. So no, I’m not on board.

↵And for the record, Kyle Singler doesn’t “get buckets” and never has. He goes to Duke and plays for Coach K. He “reads the defense” and uses his “feel for the game” to “score baskets.”

↵I’d rather watch Mark Titus make it rain.
