North Carolina and Michigan State want to play a non-conference basketball game next year, which is interesting but not all that big a deal. What is slightly more interesting is where they want to play that basketball game: On an aircraft carrier.
How Do You Play Basketball On An Aircraft Carrier? Very Carefully
↵Michigan State says “An announcement is forthcoming,“ while UNC officials are being slightly more reserved, saying ”it could very well happen.” Caution is understandable, given the hurdles to holding a basketball game on an aircraft carrier. (“Really, guys, if the ball is going out of bounds, just let it go.”)
↵The plan also calls for “two service academies” to play a second game. Which raises the question: if Navy plays in that one, does it count as a home game?
