With the way regulation ended, it looked like we were in for a fantastic five minutes of overtime. Instead, Georgetown took control early in the period, cruising to a 111-102 win. With just .3 seconds left in regulation, Chris Wright hit a three to tie the game at 94 after a frantic scramble off a miss. The three capped a wildly entertaining half of basketball, with both the No. 9 Tigers and No. 16 Hoya throwing hay-makers throughout.

Geogetown was a perfect 15-15 from the line and shot 46.9 percent from three point range, making 15-32 attempts.

Not exactly a murderous schedule to open the year, but with games against Georgetown, Vanderbilt, Illinois and ODU looming before the start of conference play in January, the Tigers should be better prepared.
