Rock Chalk Talk, our Jayhawks community, points out Memphis both allows and shoots a lot of free throws. Tigers forward Wesley Witherspoon is a very strong shooter from the line for a big man, making him tough to defend. He’s hitting 83.3 percent of his 7.7 attempts per game.
Memphis’ defensive rebounding has left something to be desired — combined with Kansas’ accurate shooting and good shot selection, this could be a key to the game.
