Ohio State Vs. Kansas Final Score: Jayhawks Upset Unbeaten Buckeyes, 78-67

Without Jared Sullinger, Ohio State needed a lot to go right to leave Phog Allen Fieldhouse without its first loss on the season. Instead, the Buckeyes fell victim to Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor, who both starred in Kansas’ 78-67 win.

In the first game this century to favor the visiting team in Lawrence, the Jayhawks made a statement. Taylor dished out a career-high 13 assists, while Robinson scored 21 points — 14 in the second half, when he snagged all seven of his rebounds — to pace a Kansas team that held a lead throughout.

Ohio State rallied late behind William Buford, who led the Buckeyes with 21 points, Deshaun Thomas, who added 19 points, and Aaron Craft, who finished with 11 points and six assists. But the Buckeyes’ big three combined to make just 19 of 48 shots from the field, and could not close the Kansas lead to fewer than four points in the second half.
