Peyton Siva drove the lane with the score tied and under five seconds to go, blowing by defenders for what turned out to be the game-winning bucket in overtime as the Louisville Cardinals put away the Vanderbilt Commodores in overtime, 62-60. It was a back-and-forth matchup throughout, with neither team able to assert itself or establish any kind of a meaningful lead. And it stayed that way through the end of regulation and overtime, right up until Siva's bucket.

A full-court inbound pass from Vanderbilt was tipped away coming out of a timeout following Siva's bucket and the Cards hung on to win. Vanderbilt's Steve Tchiengang had a shot to win it in regulation, but his second free throw with under a minute to go, following a make to tie the game, was off. Chane Behanan's attempt with four seconds to go missed, and we headed to overtime.

Vanderbilt jumped out to a five-point lead to open the extra frame in what was a sluggish start to overtime for both teams. With a minute and a half to go, the Commodores held a four-point advantage, only to see Louisville rattle off five unanswered points to take the lead, setting up Siva’s heroics.
