ANIMATED: Anthony Davis Erases UNC’s Last-Second Shot

All too often early-season battles between two powerhouse schools fail to live up to the hype. Fortunately, Saturday's matchup between the top-ranked Kentucky Wildcats and No. 5 North Carolina Tar Heels was not one of those games -- it was everything everyone expected and more.

Trailing by five at halftime, Kentucky stormed back in the second half to win 73-72, but not before UNC's John Henson had a chance to steal the lead in the final seconds. Anthony Davis, who otherwise had a quiet game with seven points and nine rebounds, came out of nowhere to block Henson's shot, and then had the presence of mind to recover the ball. If you missed it, or if you simply want to relive the best play from the best game of the young season, take a peek after the jump.
