Peyton Silva and the Louisville Cardinals continue to give the UConn Huskies fits so far, taking a 31-23 lead into halftime at The Yum!.
Louisville vs. UConn Score: Cardinals Cruise To 31-23 Halftime Lead
Silva leads the Cards with 10 points, which is a lot considering the Cardinals are shooting 36% so far. Not that the Huskies are faring much better (37%).
Jamal Coombs-McDaniel lead the Huskies with 11 at the break. Meanwhile Kemba Walker returns to his struggling ways, shooting 2-of-7 from the field. He has for 7 points so far.
The Huskies are down despite having the rebounding advantage and shooting at the same level as the Cards. There’s just too many cold shooters on their squad at the moment.
With both teams at 8-5 in the Big East, the second half is going to be critical as they two fight for seeding in the BET and beyond.
