St. John’s 60, Pitt 59, Final Score: Dwight Hardy’s Last-Second Lay-In Shocks No. 4 Panthers
This is only Pitt’s third loss of the season; even with this defeat, the Panthers lead the Big East with a 12-2 conference record. St. John’s is 17-9 for the year. The Red Storm are unranked, but they’ve received some AP votes. Given that they’ve beaten No. 5 Duke, No. 13 UConn, and No. 4 Pitt over the last three weeks, they have every reason to hope for a spot in the top 25.
