On Friday night in the Big 12 Tournament semifinals, No. 2 Kansas held off a determined Colorado squad to advance with a SCORE win. Kansas is on the hunt for its second consecutive Big 12 championship.
Twin brothers Markieff and Marcus Morris matched each other’s performances with 20 points apiece. Marcus also contributed 13 rebounds and four assists. In all, the Jayhawks shot 49.1 percent from the field and dominated Colorado in the rebound battle, 39 to 25.
This was Colorado’s final appearance in the Big 12, as the Buffaloes are headed to the Pac-10 conference next season.
