Add Boston College to the list of top teams that won their opening game of the NIT. Reggie Jackson scored 15 of his 22 points in the first half as 1-seed Boston College cruised to a 82-64 victory over 8-seed McNeese State. They now await the winner of Northwestern-Milwaukee.

Jermaine Mallett scored 23 points and Kyle Weems scored 14 points as the 3-seed Missouri State Bears topped the Murray State Racers, 89-76. They'll face either Miami (FL) or Florida Atlantic in the next round.

The only upset of the night comes courtesy of 6-seed Fairfield, which topped 3-seed Colorado State 62-60. Yorel Hawkins scored 17 points while Ryan Olander added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the win.

The only game left on the night is a late-tip between St. Mary's and Kent State.
